Nor-Fishing is one of the world’s leading meeting places for the global fisheries and seafood industry.
From Pilot to Industrial Scale
Norwegian ocean industries face a common set of challenges. Stricter sustainability requirements, the need for safe operations in demanding environments, and a growing demand for more efficient resource utilization. At the same time, the pace of innovation is accelerating, particularly within aquaculture, where new solutions in digitalization, automation, and offshore operations are being developed at a rapid rate.
This presentation is based on our experiences from development and innovation projects within aquaculture, where interdisciplinary product development, system design, and technology development have been key drivers. We talk about how insights from areas such as robotics, monitoring systems, test facilities, and novel operational concepts can be transferred to the fisheries sector, and highlight the opportunities that arise from connecting knowledge across ocean industries.

Learn more about:
-
how technology can support operations in more exposed and complex environments
-
how design methodology and system thinking contribute to more robust and scalable solutions in industrial scale
-
which barriers and opportunities exist for implementation within existing value chains
The presentation is aimed at stakeholders seeking to understand how innovation from aquaculture and other ocean segments can strengthen competitiveness and sustainability in the fisheries sector, and how to move from isolated pilot projects to holistic transformation.
«The challenges facing fisheries and aquaculture are more similar than many people realize. By sharing knowledge across ocean industries, we can accelerate innovation, reduce risk, and bring better solutions to market faster. That’s what this presentation is all about.»
