Since our inception in 1997, we have strived for the vision “Let us improve life through science and art.” The words are taken from the back of the Nobel Prize medal in Physics, where Virgil’s verse “Inventas vitam juvat excoluisse per artes” is engraved – “Having improved life through discovery and art.”
Science

Comes from Latin Scientia, knowledge. Knowledge or science in Norwegian.
Science in the original sense is used for the methodical collection, arrangement and verification of knowledge according to generally accepted rules and requirements. Inventas emphasizes science in how we recognize science, how we work according to scientific methods and how we attack problems.
Art
[art/ ]
Comes from the German word "kunstiz". To be able to or skill in Norwegian.
Art in the original sense is therefore used to refer to a special skill, a practiced ability or skill in various fields, such as engineering. Inventas emphasizes "the art of" knowledge, experiences, groundbreaking technology and user-friendly design.
Community-engaged product developers
We develop products where sustainable choices are an integral part from the start.
The choices we make in the early design phases shape the product's overall footprint; the footprint – resource use and emissions from raw materials to finished production; the handprint – the effect during use and how the product is handled at the end of its life.
Therefore, it is also important for us to systematically integrate guidelines such as the Ecodesign Directive and guidelines inherent in green electronics when we develop our products and important choices are to be made.
