Project management often starts with mapping customer and project needs, and goals for the project. A project plan is established with activities with associated time frames, milestones, stakeholder analyses, as well as which risks may arise along the way and how these will be handled. Structure and communication channels must be established in projects and a clear division of responsibilities must be defined.
